About Kate

Kate has worked within the NHS for 19 years, including in London trusts (Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College Healthcare, London). Most recently she has worked as a Clinical Psychologist Resilience Trainer during and post Covid-19. She worked with frontline NHS hospital staff exposed to highly stressful events and pressurised workplaces. She was responsible for designing, developing and delivering psychologically informed workshops to promote resilience in the face of burnout, and to support managers in their provision of psychologically safe workplaces. She also built up a mindfulness community within the organisation- an experience published in blog post form by the internationally recognised foundation Oxford Mindfulness:

Alongside her NHS work she supervised, taught and trained others to become Clinical Psychologists, working as a Clinical and Academic Tutor on the Doctoral training programme at Salomons, Canterbury Christ Church University, for 7 years. She is now based in Gloucestershire and inputs remotely to specific projects for the Doctoral programme.

Kate is passionate about working with organisations, sharing evidence based ideas in ways that can meaningfully support people’s wellbeing within the workplace, and enabling teams to thrive. She is trained in a range of psychological models including mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy, evidenced to be helpful in promoting meaningful change.

I've seen how, in the face of tricky circumstances, individuals and teams can struggle to feel connected and to show up in the ways they would like to. I set up LifeMinded Psychology to provide evidence based approaches to meaningfully support wellbeing and allow individuals and teams to thrive.
